World Council of Comparative Education Societies (WCCES), founded in 1970 as an international academic organization of comparative education societies from across the globe, is in official consultative partnership with United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) since 1973.

UNESCO Forum : Imagining the World to Come - Women's Voices
With strong member state demand, and responding to a push from the UN Secretary-General Mr. António Guterres, to get UNESCO thinking as a “laboratory of ideas” in response to the current COVID-19 pandemic, UNESCO introduced its Online Forum Series, which aims to discuss what the future should look like after the crisis. The first “UNESCO Online Forum: Imagining the World to Come” has given a voice to women, many of whom have gone unheard since the start of the pandemic. UNESCO Director-General Ms. Audrey Azoulay introduced the forum in the following video.

Fostering Inclusive Ecologies of Knowledge: Education for Equitable and Sustainable Futures

Participants who will present their papers during the XVIII World Congress will be encouraged to revise and submit their papers to one of the three WCCES publication outlets (each with its rigorous peer-reviewed process):

  1. Papers of 6000 words in Global Comparative Education: Journal of the WCCES in one of the six official languages of the United Nations
  2. Short papers of 3000 words in World Voices Nexus: The WCCES Chronicle in one of the six official languages of the United Nations
  3. Papers of at least 6000 words in English as chapters in one or more edited volumes in the WCCES Brill-Sense book series.
